1. Premium Design and Display

• Larger Display Area
The Smart Band 8 Pro features a 1.74-inch AMOLED rectangular touchscreen, which is significantly larger than the standard Band 8. This provides more space for apps, data, and widgets, and resembles a smartwatch more than a traditional fitness band.

• High Resolution and Brightness
With a high pixel density and up to 600–1000 nits brightness (depending on settings), the display delivers crisp visuals and is easily visible outdoors. The smooth 60Hz refresh rate ensures fluid animations and transitions.

• Always-On Display Support
Includes AOD functionality with a range of watch faces that show key information like time, steps, and heart rate even when the screen is off.

• Customizable Watch Faces
Offers hundreds of digital and analog-style watch faces, with support for animated or interactive designs.

• Strap System and Build
The body is slim, lightweight, and available in stylish finishes with interchangeable quick-release straps in silicone, leather, or woven materials. The watch-like form gives it a versatile look, suitable for both workouts and formal wear.

2. Health and Wellness Monitoring

• 24/7 Heart Rate Tracking
Advanced optical sensors allow continuous heart rate monitoring with alerts for abnormal values. Tracks resting heart rate, active rate zones, and historical data.

• SpO₂ Blood Oxygen Monitoring
Monitors blood oxygen saturation throughout the day or manually during specific situations, such as sleep or physical activity.

• Advanced Sleep Analysis
Tracks multiple sleep stages (light, deep, REM), as well as total duration and breathing quality. The data is visualized in the app for trend tracking and improvement suggestions.

• Stress Monitoring
Measures daily stress levels based on heart rate variability and offers breathing exercises to reduce tension.

• Female Health Tracking
Enables menstrual cycle logging, predictions, and reminders for users who opt into female health features.

3. Fitness and Activity Tracking

• 150+ Sports Modes
The Smart Band 8 Pro supports a wide array of workout types, including indoor and outdoor running, cycling, swimming, yoga, strength training, rowing, HIIT, and more.

• Built-In GPS
One of the biggest upgrades is the built-in multi-system GPS, which means the band can track outdoor activities such as running or cycling without needing a phone connection. It supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou.

• Professional Running Metrics
For serious runners, the band provides VO₂ max estimation, pace analysis, stride length, and other professional metrics to help improve performance.

• Automatic Workout Detection
Recognizes several common exercises and prompts the user to begin logging them when movement patterns match known activities.

• Activity Goals and Motivators
Tracks steps, calories, standing time, and active hours. Users can set daily goals, receive motivational reminders, and review weekly performance summaries.

4. Smart Features and Tools

• Call and Notification Alerts
Displays call notifications, texts, app messages, and calendar events. While it doesn’t support answering calls, it keeps users connected.

• Weather, Alarms, and Reminders
Includes practical tools like real-time weather updates, silent vibrating alarms, countdown timers, and calendar alerts.

• Music and Camera Control
Allows remote control of phone music playback and camera shutter for easier selfies or group photos.

• Flashlight and Find My Phone
Features an on-screen flashlight and phone locator to enhance daily usability.

5. Battery Life and Charging

• Efficient Battery Performance
Despite the large screen and built-in GPS, the band delivers solid endurance:

  • Up to 14 days on typical usage

  • 6–8 days with GPS and Always-On Display active

  • Up to 20 days in power-saving mode

• Magnetic Fast Charging
Supports fast charging via a magnetic dock — full charge in roughly 1 hour.

6. Compatibility and Ecosystem

• Cross-Platform Support
Compatible with Android and iOS smartphones via Bluetooth. Most features are accessible through the Xiaomi Mi Fitness app, which syncs health, workout, and notification data.

• Customization and Software Updates
Users can adjust settings, sync new watch faces, and receive firmware updates through the app. The band supports regular over-the-air (OTA) updates for performance and feature improvements.
